HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONAL BY KENNETH HAGIN: SIGNS WILL FOLLOW YOU.

December 20, 2016
And these signs shall follow them that believe....  (Mark 16:17)

People everywhere have clung to the first part of the Great Commission: "And he [Jesus] said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned" (Mark 16:15-16). Why have people clung to the first part?
They knew how to use that part to believe and be saved—to receive salvation, and the remission of sin. But many people have turned away from the rest of the Great Commission because they didn't know how to use it.
Verse 17 says, "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues."
One man said to me, "Now that can't be so. I'm just as saved as you are, and none of those signs follow me."

I said, "It didn't say that the signs would follow them that don't believe. It said that the signs would follow them that believe. You just finished saying that you don't believe."

He said, "I don't."

I said, "Then why would you expect any signs to follow you? You have to believe what God said first and then the signs will follow you."

Provision for man's healing is also found in this Great Commission. Let's continue reading. Verse 18 says, "They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK, AND THEY SHALL RECOVER." This is another sign that follows those who believe.

Confession
I am a believer, not a doubter. Signs, such as speaking with tongues and laying hands on the sick and seeing them recover, follow me.

HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONAL BY KENNETH HAGIN: GOD'S WAY OF THINKING.

October 5, 2016

For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.  (Isa. 55:8,9)

You can read what the Bible says, and from the natural standpoint, it doesn't sound reasonable sometimes. But these verses in Isaiah have helped me greatly. Isaiah is contrasting our thoughts (man's thoughts) with God's thoughts. He says that God's thoughts, or God's way of thinking, is higher than man's way of thinking.

The Bible contains God's thoughts. If you want to know God's thinking on any subject, see what the Bible says on that subject. Now if your mind has not been renewed with the Word of God, it's difficult for you to think in line with God's way of thinking. (You get your mind renewed with the Word of God by meditating on it.) And even if your mind has been renewed, you still may not understand with your natural mind everything the Bible says. But if you'll act on the Word from your spirit, or your heart, it will work for you.

Keeping these verses in Isaiah in mind, let's read Mark 11:23 again: "For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith." To the natural mind, this verse doesn't sound reasonable. It's a different kind of thinking - it's God's way of thinking!

Good Christians who are dedicated and consecrated to God have said to me, "I'm not going to believe I have something I can't see. If I say I have something and I don't have it in reality, I'm lying." They missed the whole thing! God's thoughts are not our thoughts.

Confession

God's thoughts and ways are higher than my thoughts and ways. I renew my mind with the Word of God so that I can think God's thoughts and know His ways.

As a Christain Under Grace, Is It Right To Pray Against Curse? Knowing That Christ Has Redeemed Us From It.

I'm under grace, do i need to pray against generational Curse, satanic curse, prophetic curse, parental curse etc.? It seems am beginning to experience what happened to my parent, I've been stagnant, No progress, my family are short-lived.... you know other question frequently asked. But i've been redeemed from curse according to Gal 3:16 you ask..  These are questions that race through the mind of some christains and it has left many in dilemma.

In a group discussion held on C&S Unification Unilorin Graduate Forum watsapp yesterday the Admin asked, Is it Scriptural for christains  to be praying for curse breaking Or has all curses been destroyed by Christ on the cross? Is every curses broken and rendered insignificant the day we give our lives to christ? what is the message being passed in Galatians 3:13?

Opening the discussion, Feranmi stated that Jesus paid the price for all curses but for real some yokes have to be consciously wrestled just like salvation was paid for but must be consciously acknowledge.

Ignorance is what every Christain should come out from.. As the scripture says My people Perish because they lack Knowledge. Many have been fighting won battle ignorantly while some have refused to Possess their possession even when they have all it takes to win.

Just as some power and Authority in the Kingdom are activated at the place of prayers, so also are some victories claimed through prayers! The work has been done but you remain a victim until you possess your possession through prayers and confession. I think many are fighting battle already won through Christ and forgetting that we are sitting with Christ far above powers and principalities, curses... We allow the devil keep us busy with prayer points that's been settled ODG stated.

Raphael asked why do we dedicate so much time to breaking curses and it seems the curse are refusing to break? This happens as a result of Ignorance of the Victory we have through Christ, lack of faith, false knowledge ODG answered.

Still to the question on ground Raykab stated a very sensitive point that as a Christian we should always have the mindset that We are not fighting for victory but from victory. Our eyes of understanding needs to be enlightened that we may know what are rightful ours Eph 1:17-22.

Some prayers are being rendered out of fear and lack of understanding and this has made our prayer powerless.

There is a revelation knowledge first, then comes Faith which leads to prayer and confession of Authority. I believe if you have real faith, it will lead you to communion. A faith that leads not to prayer and communion is not faith in the first place. Kemi stated.

I don't think praying against curses is totally out of place, understanding through revelations matters. I once read about USA that whoever became the president must die before the end of the tenure, a curse laid by a part of India. Until USA researched and discovered it was a curse, they prayed and it was over. A Christian can come under a curse if he disobey God's instructions, when this happens he must pray for forgiveness and repent, faith wouldn't work if repentance isn't done. I believe nothing breaks a curse like revelation and obedience because what brought curse in the first place was Disobedience. Isaac explained.

While praying against curse, Some christains pay attention to them and prayer point rather than what the Word says. it looks funny in the eyes of heavens that we pay attention on enemy than savior in the place of warfare. If you believe that christ has won the victory, pay attention to him. hebrew 12:2a Winners stated.

There are two men in different prisons, one is chained and locked up while the second isn't chained or locked and the door to both prisons are widely open. Is there any difference between both of them? Yes there is! Until the second prisoner who isn't chained or locked up come to that consciousness and decides to make a move out of the prison, he isn't different from the prisoner chained & locked up. Raphael iillustrated.

If any man be in christ he is a new creature, Old things are past away and all things becomes new. Christians must approach every warfare as a victor and overcomer.

At the end of the discussion, some points were     Note worthy;
1. Curses are real
2. Victory is real
3.Pray with revelation and insight
4.Fight from victory and not for victory
5.Desist from fighting battle already won.
6. Victory resides in jesus christ, until you find christ you can't find victory.

Don't Take The Simplicity Of God's Word For Granted!

Nowadays, many are like Naaman. They are
scornful toward God and His word. They would obey God if He had commanded something difficult, but they reject God because He has commanded something simple.

The simplicity of God's word as been taken for granted and this as cause shipwreck of many people's faith.

To the unbelievers, salvation sounds simple and cheap to their hearings.  "the message of the cross sounds foolish to their hearing". The world through its wisdom does not know God.

But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; and the
base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, that no flesh should glory in His presence". (1 cor 1:26-29)

To the believers Paul warns the Corinthians of being deceived and departing from the simplicity that is in Christ.
"but I fear lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtility, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ"(2 cor 11:3) further study would help understand more.......

Looking at Naaman's case, his expectations was different from what Elisha told him. He expected some fantastic thing to happen but otherwise. Naaman's servants had to convince him of his foolishness after which he obeyed God's simple command and was healed.

When God commands don't meet our expectations we tend to scorn. Outcome of our expectations depends on how we see God's Word ... How do you reason God's word?

For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted, you may well put up with it (2 cor 11:4)

False teachers are everywhere with so many principles and doctines sounding scriptural but complicated,You need to guard your heart and be content with the simplicity that is in christ. Anything different from the scriptures is false. The answer to every of your challenges is still simple , never think beyond what has been written in the scriptures.

The simple word is still alive and exert power!!!

Rick Warren:Distraction Will Hinder You From Fulfilling Purpose

I have met thousands of people who’ve told me they want to be used by God, but they will never be used by God. Why? They’re too busy. They’ve got their own agenda going. They’ve got their plans and dreams and ambitions, and they don’t have any time! In the midst of their busyness, they try to carve out a little sliver from the pie of life and say, “I’ll give this to God.” But it doesn’t work that way says Rick Warren.

HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONAL BY KENNETH HAGIN: ATTEND TO GOD'S WORD.

September 23, 2016

My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.  (Prov. 4:20)

God tells us to attend to His Word. Let me give you an illustration. Let's say I meet someone on the street who says, "Brother Hagin, I want to talk to you." And I respond, "Well, I can't talk right now. I've got some business to attend to." What does that mean? It means I have to put that other business first.

God said to listen to His sayings. Some people are listening to what others are saying instead of to what God is saying. Donald Gee, a pioneer of the Pentecostal movement, said that every man in his family died before the age of forty.

I Am a Christian, My Friend is an Atheist, How Can I Lead Him To Jesus Christ?

Arguing with an atheist will bring no effect, unbelievers may argue with what we say in the course of preaching Jesus as the saviour of the world however, they can't argue with the truth of a life that has been transformed by Christ in us.

In a Question and answer column published on Billy Graham's Evangelistic Association recently, someone asked Graham what can Christians do to encourage their atheist friends to seek salvation in Jesus Christ.

"My best friend and I enjoy each other's company, but I'm a Christian and he says he's an atheist. I've tried to argue with him, but he just laughs and says I ought to grow up and forget about God. How can I win him over?" the person asked.

English Standard Version (Esv) Bible Translation Revisions 'Doubtlessly Risky,' Bible Scholar Warns

A debate is stirring over revisions made to the final translation of the English Standard Version Bible regarding gender, with one biblical scholars saying the changes are "doubtlessly risky." The Crossway Board of Directors and the ESV Translation Oversight Committee said in a statement that the 52 words revised in 29 verses were "the culmination of more than 17 years of comprehensive work by the committee, as authorized and initiated by the Crossway Board in 1998."

Crossway added that the 2016 edition is a "Permanent text of the ESV Bible [and will remain] unchanged throughout the life of the copyright." One of the controversial changes can be found in Genesis 3:16.

What Does God Want Me to Do? I Stole from my Employer Over 40 Years Ago.

In a Question and answer column published on Billy Graham's Evangelistic Association recently, someone asked if God forgiveness is available for sin committed years back.
The person asked ;

"I stole some money from my employer (a doctor) over 40 years ago, and I still feel very guilty over it. I'd pay it back (with interest), but neither he nor his medical practice is still around. What does God want me to do? Or does it make any difference now?"

Graham answered that  it does make a difference both to you and to others. When we do something wrong, God wants us to do everything we possibly can to make it right even if many years have passed. The Bible’s command is clear:

The survey comes as Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has vowed

Evangelist Ray Comfort Explains Why He Never Leads People in the SINNER'S PRAYER

Ray Comfort is a New Zealand Born Evangelist, He is known for his street evangelism asking  people about God, the Bible, sin and salvation. Recently, a commenter on Facebook posed a question to him asking Ray why he never leads people into prayer even after telling them  about Jesus Christ
The commenter wrote;

You often have them at the point of belief but then don't allow them, or encourage them, to confess. You do great work to get them to believe, and yet not confess. If you don't want to lead them in a prayer, which is what people do when they exchange vows at a wedding, why not encourage them to pray their own prayer? Help them if they need it, but why not?

Ray Comfort replied with a video message

HEALTH FOOD DEVOTIONAL BY KENNETH HAGIN: KEEP YOUR BODY UNDER.

September 9, 2016

But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. (1 Cor. 9:27)

Notice that this scripture says, "I keep under my body." If your body were the real you, Paul would have said, "I keep myself under. I bring myself into subjection." But he didn't say that. He said, "I keep my body under."

Well, what did he bring his body into subjection to? His spirit. He didn't let his body dominate him. Rather, his spirit dominated his body. He didn't let his body dictate to his spirit. His spirit dictated to his body.

WHAT DOES REVIVAL LOOKS LIKE? WHAT SHOULD BE EXPECTED IN A REVIVAL?

At the point when men in the streets are afraid to open their mouths and utter godless words lest the judgments of God should fall; when sinners, overawed by the Presence of God tremble in the streets and cry for mercy; when, without special meetings and sensational advertising, the Holy Ghost sweeps across cities and towns in Supernatural Power and holds men in the grip of terrifying Conviction ; when "every shop becomes a pulpit, every heart an altar, every home a sanctuary" and people walk softly before God— This is Revival!

Today the word Revival has largely lost its real meaning. Our present generation

Is Ambition Unbiblical?

As the demand and pressure  becomes high in the society Man needs to consider the worthiness of their ambitions. In light of eternity,  what pursuits will bring the greatest rewards money or God?
Every man has a competitive nature, and Christian men are no different. But as we strive to fulfill our ambitions, are we doing something that’s contrary to God’s law? Is ambition, especially in our career, unbiblical?

Jesus addressed the dilemma Christian men face today:

“No servant can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.” (Luke 16:13 NIV).

His warning sounds pretty clear. We may not despise God because of our job, but it’s dangerously easy to grow cold toward Him. Let’s face facts. Everything costs money, from the necessities of life to

What God Wants Us To Learn During This Recession As a Believer

God is purposeful. He has explanations behind permitting this recession in Nigeria. Doubtlessly He has numerous reasons, however without a doubt one of His essential objectives is the spiritual growth of his people. If we miss what He needs to show us, we will just get to be skeptical and start to uncertainty His affection and care.

The first lesson is the most self-evident: He needs us to discover
