Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand.The tower of babel became stagnated soon as God discovered the unity(oneness and love) amongst the people of the world though their plans were contrary to God's plan. God knew unity displayed among them was a strong tool of hitting possibilities. What made them united? "look! He said, The people are united, and they all speak same language. After this, nothing they set out to do will be impossible for them! " (Gen 11:6Nlt). They spoke the same language understanding and loving one another, patient, kind,not jealous, boastful or rude to each other. No form of hatred, irritation or injustice was exhibited amongst them. Nothing they set to do will be impossible for them because of their oneness.
The people of the world became divided, work regressed, dream shattered and they understood themselves not again simply because their language was confused.They went their separate ways speaking different languages.The one language connoting love was gone, disunity as set in, different language spoken, understanding abrupt and mission unrealized.
Unity is a powerful language in God's kingdom, once its jeopardized the opposite sets in disunity a weapon the devil uses to attack the body of Christ.
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious ointment upon the head, that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garment.............. (psalms 133:1-3kjv).Unity likened to Anointing, we know how powerful anointing works, Jesus Christ of Nazareth anointed and went about doing good. The power that works in an anointed vessel would work where there is unity!
The believers has failed to relate with themselves with deeper understanding, many have been stereotyped and believes the way their denomination does it is the best. Nobody is the head,except Jesus Christ realizing this will be hedge the church wrangling and self seeking. Apostle Paul charged the church of Corinthians to live in harmony with each other and there shouldn't be division (1cor 1:10-13Nlt) some were already saying I belong to Apollo and others said they belong to Paul, has Christ been divided into factions? The death of Christ on the cross of Calvary brought peace uniting the Jews and gentiles together. He broke the wall of hostility that separates us and reconciled us as one body in God.(Ephesians 3:11-18Nlt).
Whether the Orthodox, Catholic,Pentecostal, Jehovah witness name it!!! God is saying " For there is one body, one spirit,one Lord, one baptism and one God and one Father who is over all and in all and living through all"
The church of Christ must be in oneness of mind and heart so that every strongholds of human reasoning,false argument,proud obstacles and rebellious heart that has kept people from knowing God can be knock down, captured and teach to obey Christ.(2 Corinthians 10:3-5Nlt).
Do you still rejoice when a fellow soldier in faith fall into temptation justifying yourself? Do you still correct and rebuke brethren in love? Do you study the bible or acquire spiritual gift to boast or compete with brethren? Do you see yourself more superior to other believers (pride)? Let's check our heart regularly to make sure our service and worship is undiluted. There are wolves in sheep skin sowing discord amongst member causing division with their speech and action, remember Bible still remains the standard and not any Man.
There is strength in unity,there is deliverance and breakthrough therein. A strand of broom can never accomplish what a full broom will do. Let us stand together in unity, love and oneness. Signs and wonders becoming strange, health deteriorating, evangelism weakened, love of many waxing cold, ungodliness becoming norms all because of disunity in the body of christ. There is no faction In the kingdom of God, let's come together and wage war against every stronghold. You may be mighty in Prayer alone, but you can be mightier with someone joining you. The Bible says that "...one will
put one thousand to flight, but two will put ten thousand to flight." (Leviticus 26:8; Deuteronomy 32:30). UNITED WE MUST BE IN CHRIST JESUS.
